A representative from Lancaster Farmland Trust, a Strasburg nonprofit organization with a mission to preserve farmland, visited our farmhouse this Spring and spoke at our staff meeting!
Our team learned more about farm preservation in the County and provided a map illustrating the farms that have been preserved in our area, 80% of which are Amish or Mennonite farms.
Did you know that Lancaster Farmland Trust has already protected 591 farms?
There are 120,000 acres preserved in collaboration with Lancaster County. This farmland will be protected forever.
