We love to hear feedback from our guests. Here are just a few comments that we’ve received from visitors to The Amish Farm and House.
What an awesome experience! I loved getting to see what an Amish house looked like inside and learning more about their... culture. We got to enjoy seeing all the adorable animals, especially the goats. Riding the scooters I kept seeing people on the roads riding was so much fun. My favorite little gems on the farm were getting to visiting the one room school house and blacksmith shop. I would definitely visit again and highly recommend adding this spot to your mist visit list.read more
This was a neat place! My 18 month old daughter went nuts over petting all the animals, playing on the playground, and... playing in this little area with corn and play tractors. Grounds are well maintained. Staff is very friendly. The BBQ barn has outstanding food!! I had the chicken dinner and my dad had the rib dinner. Both were delicious.read more
Really enjoyed my time at the Amish Farm and House. Our tour guide, Eva, for the house tour was great. She was very... friendly and able to present on the history of the Amish and what present-day Amish people are like in a very respectful way. The informational signs around the farm were very interesting. I learned a lot.Met a neat man named Chris who whittles with his pocket knife and got to pet some animals as well.read more
We did the Farm Animal Fun Tour. There was a small group of maybe 4 families. Our toddlers got to bottle feed a calf,... collect eggs, see a cow and some other fun activities. After this we walked around the farm for a bit and had fun on the play equipment. The tour guides were knowledgeable about the farm and the animals.read more
What a fun day. We toured an empty Amish house (does have stairs) and took a 45 min Bus tour with stops at Amish... businesses ( bring cash). There is 15 acres of land to explore with fun activities for all ages. We had a wheelchair so the house tour is not advised due to stairs. Allow at least 3 hours for the premium tour and reserve online to ensure the bus tour has room. Yes it is located next to a Target shopping center, but they were there first. Enjoy!read more
One of the highlights of our trip. Best experiencebecause it is a private tour only your group is in the buggy. We were... Blessed with a driver named Elizabeth, such a lovely lady she explained so much about the Amish way of life. We were very lucky she even invited us to her home one night to show us her beautiful gardens, house and to answer more of our questions . She even made us the most amazing cup of mint tea to enjoy on our visit. On our departure from her lovely home she gave us each mint plants to take home and plant so in our own homes we can continue to enjoy the tea. I know every time I sip my home made mint tea I will remember what a wonderful time I had visiting and learning from Elizabeth. We plan on keeping in touch with her and help her and her family to travel up to our New England states to see our beautiful states as well.read more
Went with my husband and daughter. I had gone a few years back with my sister and thought my familyWould enjoy the... experience. It’s a very comfortable bus ride with a great, knowledgeable tour guide. Ours was Debbie and she was great. A few very brief stops but they give you business cards if you want to go back and spend more time at the shops. The farm was very fun for my 5 year old. She absolutely loved it. A must do activity in Lancaster.read more
We had a nice experience with the Amish way’s of living. I was doubted if the place deserves a visit or not because I... preferred going to the Amish village, but I was wrong!! The place was tremendous. There are couple of animals, places to mimic their living room, preserving meats, process milk and so on. Our premium was included a tour and the farm. We enjoyed that experience. I would definitely recommend it!read more
I had such a great time with friends! The goats were really adorable and friendly and jumped on us, and the yoga... instructor and staff were very pleasant and good humored. I found the yoga portion to be super energizing and refreshing and good for all levels of experience (and don’t worry about getting distracted by the goats while you do it - that’s expected!). The goats will bite your hair and jewelry, so please make sure that you keep everything covered or take off important items. Just a little bit of hair nibbling caused me to lose some hair later while I was in my shower, so make sure you’re protected. Otherwise, enjoy your time! It’s extremely fun.read more
Animal fun tour was so exciting. Guide was informative and very personable. Playing with the baby kid goats was our... highlight. Didn't seem rushed. Group size was not too big so we had a chance to interact with all the animals. All 5 kids of mine were happy we went.read more
This place is wonderful! My family of four was visiting with my mother in Lancaster and we decided to take a little day... trip. We paid for each of us to visit the farm only. We spent about 2.5 hours looking around on the property. Saw the cutest animals: chickens, goats (little baby goats that were just born! So cute), cows, horses, alpacas, sheep, ducks, donkey, longhorns and a few barn cats. We purchased 4 bags of animal treats to feed the animals as we went along- well worth the little added expense. There's was a small playground for the kids to climb around on and an area with traditional Amish scooters that we coasted around on their track with. The schoolhouse was fun to explore- my kids enjoyed playing school and sitting in the age appropriate desks- little kids in front- in tiny desks, and big kids in the back in their much larger desks. We also enjoyed looking at the equipment used in the house and various outbuildings- in particular- the large system of pumps for water that is used all over the property. This is a very will maintained property with wonderful features... We were concerned that the experience would not feel authentic because the farm rests on a property surrounded by a strip mall and a target! I assure you, once you are back on the property- you don't even notice.read more
A nice experience if you’re going with small children. My husband and I brought our 17 month old and it was perfect for... him. The wood carver makes free little name plates for all children under 12 and there is a sweet cat to pet. The farm animals are very cute and sweet to pet. Staff members are very nice and they do a great job in making the Amish experience good for tourists.read more

The farm was just right for a 4 year old! We walked the whole farm, played at the playground and fed animals, including... goats, Pines, donkey and pigs. There were cute newborns in the barn. We went into the oneroom schoolhouse and discussed how it was different from his preschool.I plan to return with other adults to appreciate the whole farm.read more
We did the Premium tour package and had super fun. The bus guides are like encyclopedias about the Amish life, history... and culture .The bus stopped at three different places where you were allowed to step down and learn more about Amish people and take tour of their houses, shops where you could purchase handcrafted items. The bus tour package is a bit pricy but the experience attained is worth every penny. After the tour we got to see the farm where you can pet animals, feed them. Overall it was an amazing experience.read more
We participated in the Premium Tour package and thoroughly enjoyed the day. Our bus guide was knowledgeable and... accepting of my children’s multiple questions. The stops were also great and we enjoyed visiting each one. The house tour was informative and gave a good look at Amish life. We also enjoyed the chicken BBQ it was delicious. The farm also had much to visit and interact with. I wish there was someone in the petting zoo area monitoring the animals as parents were not doing that and some of the babies were being handled roughly by visitors. I told one child to stop bothering a sleeping 5 day old kid goat. This is the only reason for a 4 star rating.read more
It's an amazing place. Very friendly and professional service. The house tour guides are kind and very knowledgeable.... The bathrooms outside the main building are extremely clean. The bus drivers/guides are like encyclopedias about the Amish life, history and culture. On one of the stops, we enjoyed the locally made Raspberry Ice-cream, the best I have ever eaten! The healthy free roaming chickens and goats in a paddock was very relaxing indeed. The experience attained is worth every penny.read more
