Annual Sheep Shearing Days--April 25, May 2, and May 9
A Lancaster County tradition continues this year at The Amish Farm & House's annual Sheep Shearing Days. Watch as our sheep are sheared and learn how their wool is prepared for weaving. Shearing demonstrations occur on a regular basis throughout the day. Added demonstrators include a blacksmith, a weaver, a potter, and much more. This is a fun and educational field trip for schools! Don't miss out!
Corn Maze--mid July through mid October 2008
We grow several crops here at The Amish Farm & House, but none as important as corn. Each year, before we harvest the acres of field corn, we have a little fun with it! We design and cut a large maze in our field for our visitors to explore. Come test your sense of direction in this year's corn maze!
